10/4/2005InScope Announces Succession Planning Capability Purchase, New York October 4, 2005
InScope Corporation, provider of Competency Management and competency-based Performance Management tools, announces the addition of Succession Planning capability to its Performance Management suite. The new Succession Planning function facilitates the process of identifying key positions and successors, as well as capturing employee development opportunities.
These Succession Planning tools help organizations understand the gap between current performance and target performance in key positions -- either for identified employees or with a system-calculated ‘best fit’ feature. The tools also accommodate company-specific criteria regarding employees as part of the succession profile. This gives organizations the ability to use demographics and other criteria in addition to competencies when making a succession decision.
"Understanding bench strength is critical in all organizations," said Paul Friedman, Vice President of Technology for InScope. "The ability to plan for movement in key positions using competencies as the standard measure not only helps ensure continuity, it also helps organizations find development and growth opportunities for key employees."
Succession Planning provides a process that helps attract, develop and advance talent. Once used largely for strategic leadership positions, Succession Planning has become critical for key positions at all levels. InScope’s competency-based Succession Planning provides the tools for making these critical decisions.
