3/3/2005Tao Wins BAFTA For Mobile Music Mixer The top music award at the 2005 Interactive Entertainment BAFTAs held in London on 2nd March has been won by Tao Group for its SSEYO miniMIXA. This is the Company's second BAFTA award win and third nomination at the BAFTAs in the last five years. The Music award is for "the best use of interactivity within the music genre" on DVD, the world-wide web, interactive television or mobile.
SSEYO miniMIXA is a uniquely powerful mobile music mixer, ringtone creator and DJ system already licensed for a range of mobile phones and PDAs, but also applicable as an application across the broad spectrum of other digital entertainment devices such as televisions and personal computers. Tim Cole, Tao's Head of Audio Products commented, "SSEYO miniMIXA is huge fun and easy to use. It lets anyone get really creative with music any time and at any place - be that to make a really personalised ringtone, do a live DJ set, or even share with friends recordings of what you have created".
SSEYO miniMIXA is powered by the intent multimedia platform for which more than 10 million licenses have been sold to date to companies such as Sony, Philips and JVC.
